In terms of Human Resources, Dehradun District has 1 Chief Medical Officer (CMO), 4 Deputy CMOs, 6 Medical Superintendents at Sub District Hospitals (SDH) and CHCs, 9 Lady Medical Officers, 74 Pharmacists, 87 Health Supervisors (Male and Female), 14 Lab Technicians, 5 X-Ray Technicians, 18 Staff Nurse at CHC, 43 Staff Nurse at SDH, 74 Staff Nurse at DH, 157 Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM) at Sub Center, 2 ANM at PHC and 9 ANM at CHC.

However, even though Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand, the district is still up coming in terms of healthcare. Dehradun currently has 104 specialist medical officers, however, it is still at a shortage of 21 specialists. Therefore, more medical staff is required in the hospitals.

Overall, since 2000 Dehradun has seen a continuous development and it is still developing. The health care facilities in the district are constantly improving through modern technology and education.
